DUF 2020 is Cancelled
It is unfortunate news for us to share that Danzantes Unidos Festival 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. We poured our hearts into rescheduling the event because we truly wanted the folklorico community to have something to look forward to once this pandemic is over. Unfortunately, we are living day to day through a situation in which it is not possible to plan an event of our magnitude to occur in the Fall of 2020 while guaranteeing the safety and health of our community.
YOU can help us to ensure that Danzantes Unidos continues to exist for future generations. The current pandemic has brought our programming to a complete standstill. The Danzantes Unidos Festival is what fuels our other projects . . . University Folklorico Summit, Festival Sin Fronteras, Folklorico On Wheels, Directors Dialogue, DU Newsletter and even the Danzantes Unidos Website. While we are capable of refunding ALL DUF 2020 reimbursement requests, funds already invested in DUF 2020 coupled with the inability to earn income through this pandemic will leave us with little to NO resources to continue our work beyond DUF 2021.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation of any amount that you can contribute. Additionally, if you have the capacity to hang with us and use your DUF 2020 registration to reserve your place at DUF 2021, please drop us a line at [email protected] and let us know that you wish to HOLD IN PLACE. For those that find themselves in the situation of requiring a refund–please email [email protected] with your request, enrollment number and mailing address. Finally, you can help Danzantes Unidos by shopping in our Tienda for limited supply and vintage items that will enhance your collection.
