Danzantes Unidos de California Announce University of California, Irvine as Site Location for its University Folklorico Summit

Irvine, Calif. – December 22, 2014Danzantes Unidos de California, a 501(c)(3) Mexican folk dance network organization announce the University of California, Irvine (UCI) as the site location of its third annual collegiate Mexican folk dance conference, University Folklorico Summit (UFS) for 2015. Over 50 collegiate Mexican folk dancers are expected to attend the three-day summit on February 13-15, 2015.

The 2015 summit will offer interactive leadership and dance workshops lead by renowned folklorico teachers and local leaders. The participants will have the opportunity to discuss strategies for their university folklorico groups and network amongst each other at the summit’s small group sessions and mixers.

UFS is an initiative of Danzantes Unidos de California, a 501(c)(3) Mexican folk dance cultural network. Danzantes Unidos de California board of directors and staff will work alongside Ballet Folklorico de UCI, UCI’s Mexican folk dance organization to run the summit. Registration will begin in early January at www.danzantes.org and will cost $45 per participant. The registration fee includes three-days of workshops, mixers and a t-shirt.
