Danzantes Unidos DUF 2026 “Nurturing the Light” welcomes Victor Hugo Rosas teaching Folklorico Jr. High: Baja CA Sur, Oaxaca, Zacatecas; ages 12 & 13.
Victor Rosas is a Mexican folklórico dance educator and choreographer whose work is rooted in tradition, discipline, and cultural pride. As Founder and Artistic Director of El Ballet Folklórico de Oro, he has spent over two decades cultivating dancers through authentic regional repertoire and community engagement. He currently serves as the Folklórico Dance Instructor and Director of Los Paisanos at Selma High School, as well as an instructor at Abraham Lincoln Middle School, guiding students to connect movement with history and identity. Trained in Mexico with El Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández, Victor is dedicated to preserving and sharing the living art of Mexican dance.
Students explore regional dance styles, musical interpretation, and performance techniques through hands-on learning and choreography. Emphasis is placed on proper body alignment, rhythm, cultural literacy, and professional rehearsal habits.
