DUF 2020 Spotlight on Maestra Sara Moguel

Sara Moguel was born in Villaflores, Chiapas and moved to California in 1992. She graduated with a master’s degree in the Art of Teaching in 2011. Sara Moguel has been dancing with Ballet Folklorico Aztlan de CSUN for over 13 years. BFA de CSUN instilled in her the love for Mexican Folklorico dance.

She has been teaching folklorico for seven years in Ventura County and is now director of her own group, Ballet Folklorico Cielito Lindo de Simi Valley. Sara teaches ages 3 to adults. In a relentless endeavor to perfect her dancing skills, and apply them to her teaching, Sara Moguel continues to further her skills by taking different folklorico workshops, along with ballet and Aztec dance classes.
