DUF 2024 “SEGUIMOS ADELANTE” – Maestro Osvaldo Ramirez Vidales

Osvaldo Ramirez Vidales has been a dancer, choreographer, and artistic director for 23 years in the Sacramento region.  He serves as Artistic Director for Ballet Folklorico Nube de Oro since January 2021. Their current membership stands at just over 100 dancers who are split into 5 dance levels taught by 5 dance instructors and assistant directors. In his non-dance life, Osvaldo works full time in Employment Development Department serving as a manager by providing workforce services through America’s Jobs Centers of California. Furthermore, Osvaldo works as part time faculty lecturer at CSU Sacramento teaching a beginner Mexican Folklorico class and serving as choreographer for the University Dance Concert and the Sacramento Black Art of Dance showcases. To further his knowledge in dance, Osvaldo participates at Mexican Folklorico conferences such as Danzantes Unidos Festival, Asociacion Nacional de Grupos Folkoricos, and Asociacion Nacional de Maestros de la Danza Popular Mexicana.

Sones de los Altos de Jalisco – Dances: Llano Grande, La Venada, El Riflero and Son de los Aguacates. These dances I learned from Maestro Miguel Rodriguez from El Atotonilco el Alto.

DUF 2024 “SEGUIMOS ADELANTE” will take place on March 22, 23 & 24, 2024 in Fresno, CA.
