Maria Luisa Colmenarez, president of Danzantes Unidos and Rudy Garcia, treasurer of Danzantes Unidos will be awarded the Reconocimiento Siempre Víva award by Coalicion de Folkloristas Unidos.  They will be honored by the Los Angeles based folklorico organization at its First Anniversary Show on Sunday, November 9.  Maria Luisa Colmenarez and Rudy Garcia are the first recipients of the Reconocimiento Siempre Víva due to their commitment and positive contributions to the folklorico community.

Fifteen Southern California area folklorico groups are scheduled to perform at the Coalicion de Folkloristas Unidos First Anniversary Show.
