Danzantes Unidos presents a Summer seminar in dance and culture in Queretaro, Mexico from July 13 to July 19, 2025. FESTIVAL SIN FRONTERAS 2025 – QUERETARO will include movement sessions, folk handicrafts, evening performances, and a day excursion to La Peña de Bernal. Oscar Iván Martínez Sánchez
Oscar Iván Martínez Sánchez is a dancer with 15 years of experience in Mexican Folk Dance. His career has been consolidated both on stage and in teaching, a role he has held for over a decade. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mexican Folk Dance at the Faculty of Arts of the Autonomous University of Querétaro, where he is strengthening his theoretical, technical, and methodological knowledge of national folklore.
His commitment to traditional culture has led him to join internationally renowned organizations such as the CIOFF Joven Mexico section, which focuses on promoting intangible cultural heritage, as well as the Mexican Dance Center, a space for dialogue and collective development around traditional dance. He has been invited to and attended National Congresses organized by the National Association of Teachers of Mexican Popular Dance (ANDPM, A.C.) and the World Association of Performing Arts (WAPA) in Mexico, where he has enriched his training through interaction with professionals, researchers, and tradition bearers. He is a member of CIOFF Joven México.
For 12 years, he has been a member of the Independent Folkloric Ballet of the Municipality of Querétaro, one of the most representative groups in the region, where he currently serves as assistant director. He was the first graduate and graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in Mexican Folkloric Dance from the Faculty of Arts at the UAQ and has now taught there since 2019, teaching subjects such as Repertoire, Design and Production of Accessories in Mexican Folkloric Dance, Integrative Knowledge Production, and Didactics of DFM, among others.

Primer egresado y titulado del programa educativo de la Licenciatura en danza Folklórica Mexicana de la Facultad de Artes de la UAQ y ahora Docente de la misma desde el 2019 a la fecha impartiendo materias como Repertorio, diseño y elaboración de accesorios en la Danza Folklórica Mexicana, Producción integradora del Conocimiento o Didáctica de la DFM entre otras.
Miembro de CIOFF Joven México.
Invitado y asistente a los Congresos Nacionales de la Asociación Nacional de Maestros de Danza Popular Mexicana, ANMDPM,A.C., WAPA México.
