Danzantes Unidos Festival DUF 2023 “BAILAR ES VIVIR” will take place on March 31, April 1 & 2 in Fresno, CA and honors the ongoing work of folklorico artists sharing culture and traditions across the United States and in Mexico. Registration is OPEN at www.danzantes.org . Early Registration ends Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Maestra Sara Moguel, MA was born In Villaflores, Chiapas and moved to California in 1992. She graduated with a master’s degree in Arts in teaching and obtained her Applied Behavior Analysis Certification. Sara danced with BFA de CSUN for over 15 years instilling in her the love for Mexican Folklórico dance. She has been teaching folklorico for 12 years in Simi Valley, California. She is now director of her own group, Ballet Folklorico Cielito Lindo de Simi Valley. Sara teaches ages 3 to adults. She was nominated as the 10 top Simi Valley community members who stood out and helped make a difference by using her passion for dance and to keep her culture alive. In a relentless endeavor to perfect her dance skills and apply them to her teaching, Sara continues to further her skills by learning from different maestros and folklorico workshops along with ballet and other dance styles.

DUF 2023 (Age 7 int/adv) – Baja California, Chihuahua & Sinaloa

Students will learn the footwork and acquire the style of each dance. Girls will need folklorico shoes, practice skirt, tennis shoes and a tejana hat. Boys will need folklorico boots and a tejana hat.

DUF 2023 will take place on March 31, April 1 & 2 in Fresno, CA.
