My name is Sara “Sarita” Garcia and I’ll be instructing the Folklorico Jr High (Jalisco, Sinaloa & Yucatán. I am very excited to be teaching at DUF for the 2nd time. I have been dancing folklorico for over 28 years and I have multiple years of other varies of dance styles like Polynesian, Salsa & bachata and Hip-Hop.  My mother, Gloria Rodriguez, was my first director and she still helps me out when it comes to the Dance & Director World. Because of her, she gave me the keys to become an instructor just like her.

When it comes to regions and dance, my all time favorites are Jalisco, Sinaloa and Yucatán. The flowing of the dress in Jalisco, the energy in Sinaloa and the balance & focus in Yucatán. All these regions just gives that wonderful feeling and I hope to share these wonderful dances with you too.
