Cumbias y Huapangos de Jopala

Festival Sin Fronteras 2026 Puebla, Mexico welcomes Maestro Jesus Montiel Franco teaching Cumbias y Huapangos de Jopala. He is a graduate in folkloric dance, cultural promoter, and Director of the Xikotepekali Municipal Folkloric Ballet of Xicotepec, as well as Director of the Folkloric Dance Group at the Technological University of Xicotepec de Juárez (UTXJ).

In addition to serving as a Coordination Assistant at the Xicotepec Directorate of Culture, he possesses extensive experience in training, community cultural management, artistic production, and representing the Poblana Huasteca region at the national level. He specializes in the Poblano style of *Huapango Huasteco* and in the formation of choreographic groups, achieving outstanding results in national competitions.

He has contributed editorially to various works, including: *Atlas Culturales del Estado de Puebla, Tomo I*; the magazine *La Huasteca desde las raíces* (5 editions); and the book *Xicotepec: mágico, místico y perpetuo*.
