
Maestro Spotlight – Samuel G. Betancourt
Maestro Samuel G. Betancourt is the Executive and Artistic Director of Orgullo Mestizo Folk Ballet in Fontana Ca. His dance training extends beyond Folklorico, he has also trained in classical ballet, jazz and modern dance. His dance training in Folklorico has gone as far as dancing with Grandeza Mexicana and also trained with Pacifico Dance Co.
Maestro Samuel was born in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. He began his dance training at a young age and has danced since. Passionate about communication through language, Mr. Betancourt earned his Bachelor’s degree in linguistics and is now working on his Master’s Degree in Psychology in the branch of human behavior.

Veracruz: El Canelo and La Bamba
DUF 2017 “Alma Indigena” will take place on April 7, 8 & 9 in Fresno, CA.
